Accessible arrival, baggage collection & transport from Adelaide Airport
Touching down in Adelaide? We’ll help you get from the plane to your pick-up point with confidence.
Whether you’re ending your journey here or just passing through, we want your arrival to be smooth and stress-free. If you need mobility assistance, help with your bags, or a friendly guide to point you in the right direction, it’s best to arrange this ahead of time with your airline or travel agent so everything’s ready when you land.
After you land
As you disembark, you’ll arrive at one of our terminal levels — typically Level 2 for domestic flights and Level 1 for international. For regional services, you may arrive at ground floor.
The terminal is simply laid out and thoughtfully designed, making it easy to find your way. Lifts, escalators, and wide concourses guide you down to the baggage reclaim area which is located at ground floor and all the accessible transport options are there for you.
If you’ve arranged assistance through your airline, like an aisle wheelchair or mobility aid, their staff will be there to help you every step of the way, ready to ensure your arrival is calm and comfortable. Just be sure to let your airline know before you fly.
Collecting your bags
Domestic flights
After your flight, you’ll walk straight into the terminal on Level 2 via the boarding bridge. From there, follow the signs to the escalators or lift down to baggage claim on the ground floor.
International flights
When you arrive, you’ll enter the terminal on Level 1. After passing through Customs, head to the baggage claim area on the ground floor.
Regional flights
On arrival, you’ll enter the terminal either by bus or on foot, with airline assistance available if requested. Entry is via the ground floor.
Need a hand?

You’ll also find a dedicated assistance phone located in the baggage claim area, this connects you directly to a Customer Service Officer if you need support on arrival.
Leaving the airport
Once you’ve collected your bags, it’s easy to connect with a range of accessible transport options to get you on your way.
Access Zone Pick-Up
If someone’s picking you up, the Access Zone is the closest and easiest spot. You’ll find three accessible parking spaces right next to the Atura Hotel on Atura Circuit. Just remember, a disability parking permit is required. You can check our Accessible Parking Easy-English Guide (PDF) for more details.
Rideshare Zone and Taxi Rank
The rideshare pick-up area is on the left side of the ground floor of the multi-level car park, just outside the terminal. The taxi rank is right outside located on the left-hand side of the terminal, and if you need a wheelchair-accessible taxi, you can call Adelaide Access Taxis on 1300 360 940 to arrange one.
Friendly tip: Pre-book your rideshare or taxi and let them know about any accessibility needs. It helps ensure the right vehicle is ready for you, making your trip from the airport even smoother.
