Whether you’re welcoming home a loved one or greeting a colleague, every arrival deserves a warm reception. At Adelaide Airport, we make picking up passengers simple and efficient so you can focus on the moment, not the logistics.
The passenger pick-up area is clearly signposted as you drive into the airport and is located between the Terminal Car Park P1 and the pedestrian plaza. Just follow the ‘Pick-Up’ signs and you’ll be directed straight to the right location. Our airport team will be there to guide you to a safe stopping point.

Tips for a smooth pick up

Track the status of the arriving flight using our Flights page before you leave home.

Follow instructions from our ground staff to move to the next available safe pick-up bay.

Always stop along the left-hand curb and avoid blocking the right-hand lanes.

If your passenger isn’t at the kerbside yet, please exit the area and re-enter when they are ready.

Never leave your car unattended in the pick-up zone, as unattended vehicles may be towed.
Want to welcome someone at the terminal gate?
If you’d like to greet someone in person as they arrive, you can meet them at the gate. You’ll need to pass through security screening (just like departing passengers) and then you can wait at the gate or enjoy a coffee or pick up a welcome gift!
For international arrivals, passengers arrive at the international arrivals area on the ground floor of the main terminal, and access through to the gate area is not available here. You can meet them in the arrivals hall after they’ve cleared customs and immigration.
If you’re meeting someone and travelling by car, you’ll need to park the car as the pick-up zone is for curbside pickup only. Our convenient ‘Meet and Greet’ option gives you up to 2 hours for just $14 when booking online in the P1 car park. It’s just a few minutes' walk from the terminal, making it the most convenient, best value and stress-free. Book online in advance to secure a guaranteed space and no need to worry if plans change - you can amend or cancel up to 2 hours before arrival via Manage My Booking.
